After finishing the walls, the ceiling was clashing with the finished product. The work it would take to clean and paint led us to the project below.
Originally we were going to keep the the roof framing visible, seeing that it was already insulated on the outside, but we weren't happy with how the wood colors clashed.
This is the test photo as we matched up the stained tongue and groove
Instead of trying to clean, seal and paint the entire ceiling. We decided it would be more beneficial and somewhat easier, to add more insulation and cover with tongue and groove.
We started in the loft area, to get a good idea of the whole process.
Boards were prefinished so once they were installed, the process was complete.
